Season Wrap Up

Thanks to each of you for another outstanding season at Meissner. Every year seems to get better in different ways and I’m sure it’s because of the diversity of our expanding membership. Enjoy the remaing snows of the year and have a great summer playing outside in different ways. We’ll see you again next fall. In the meantime, if you have some time and/ or money to contribute towards our efforts in purchasing the new PB100 grooming machine for next season, please be in touch!

Looks like Mother Nature has decided to end our grooming season a few day early. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the 50s and lows above freezing. We will be unable to groom Saturday and Sunday to finish out the season. On the bright side, this weekend was the only one we where unable to groom all season! Thank you to everyone who supported Meissner this year. We had one of our best seasons ever! We are looking forward to an even better one next year. Please support us this summer as we fundraise for a new snow cat to improve your skiing experience even more!

Warm and Wet

Groomer reports spring like conditions this morning. As of 7:00 o’clock temperature at the trail head was almost 40 degrees. Despite the warm temps he reports that the trails groomed up nicely with a deep fresh track. Newly groomed are Tangent, Gentian, and Mistletoe.

Groomer reports 1/2″ of fresh snow overnight. Temperature is right around freezing. Trails are grooming up very nicely. Fresh groomed this morning are Manzanita, Gentian, Cinder Pit, Currant Way and Tangent. Enjoy!

We have a full week of Spring Break grooming in front of us! Conditions yesterday where ideal, expect more of the same today. We are grooming with the BearCat Snowmachine this morning. Groomer reports that the fresh snow this week has made for some awesome conditions. Trails are smooth and silky. Freshly groomed are Currant Way, Gentian, Manzanita, Snow Bush, and Tangent. Come on up and enjoy the last week of the season!

Groomer reports 2-5″ of fresh snow overnight. Still snowing lightly. Perfect grooming conditions means deep tracks and solid fresh corduroy. Newly groomed are Cinder Pit, Tangent, The Mushroom Trail, Snowbush, and Manzanita. Looks like a great day for a ski!

Groomer reports temperature of just over freezing. Trails are medium firm, but should soften by mid-morning. Freshly groomed are Cinder Pit, the Mushroom Trail, Snow Bush, Curant Way, Tangent, and Manzanita. Groomers choice is Currant Way and the Mushroom Trail.

Feels like; winter?

Groomer reports a cold start to the day with a temperature of around 20 degrees. Light snow overnight. Snowing and blowing as of seven o’clock. Freshly groomed is Tangent, Cinder Pit, Gentian, and out to the Meissner Shelter. Reminder: Snow Shoe Nationals events will be going on thru ought the day.
