Tour for the Heart – Sunday, February 12, 2017

The 6th Annual Tour for the Heart is a fun 5km XC ski or snowshoe (your choice!) event to raise women’s heart health awareness. The Tour for the Heart covers a beautiful, mostly flat route that isn’t typically groomed for XC skiing or snowshoeing, and is suitable for participants of all ages and abilities (and yes, guys of all ages are also welcome!).  On-line advance registration is strongly preferred and will remain open until noon the Saturday before the event. Day of event In-Person Late Registration will be from 9:30-10:59am at the Tour event tent located outside Mt Bachelor Nordic Center.
 
$25 Registration includes trail pass for UPPER Mt Bachelor Nordic trail system as well as the special grooming for the Tour course; treats/food/drink along the way and at the finish; prizes for best costumes/raffle for groups; all net proceeds go to the American Heart Association for women’s heart disease education and research.
We officially begin promptly at 11:00am but given this is a fun Tour you can start whenever you like.

The Center and Therapeutic Associates are proud to present the annual Tour for the Heart — a fun 5km XC ski or snowshoe tour to raise awareness and research funds for battling women’s heart disease.
The Tour for the Heart covers a beautiful and gentle Oregon Cascades 5km route suitable for participants of all ages and abilities (and yes, men & boys of all ages are very welcome to join us!).
The Tour is a big party on snow for all ages and abilities featuring music, yummy treats, and costumes are encouraged, with prizes for the most creative ensembles.
Recruit your friends, coworkers and family to sign up for the Group Challenge to enjoy for a great day on the snow and qualify for extra special group gift surprises!
NEW FOR 2017!!! SKI YOUR AGE — A brand new Tour for the Heart challenge for literally all ages of skiers is the option to try and Ski Your Age in total kilometers during the Tour day. Looping around the gentle Tour for the Heart course provides an ideal setting to rack up the kilometers! For those with a Mt Bachelor season pass (or by purchasing a full day trail pass) you can combine the Tour for the Heart loop with the other Mt Bachelor Nordic Center trails. Take as long as you like to Ski Your Age and there’s no set course to follow. Start early and once done you’ll be able to join the main Tour for the Heart finishers for the fun of the post-ski festival area with plenty of refreshments. No special sign-up required, just sign up just like any other Tour participant and we’ll have a special reward and posting board for names and kilometer totals when you are done!
